Welcome to Southeast Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission (SEARP&DC)
Since 1969, the Southeast Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission (SEARP&DC) has been dedicated to strengthening communities across seven member counties. Governed by a board of 35 representatives, SEARP&DC serves as a vital link between local needs and regional development initiatives. Through strategic planning, economic growth programs, and community-focused solutions, we work to enhance the quality of life and create new opportunities for the people of Southeast Alabama.
Agency Mission Statement
To Improve the Quality of Life for the Citizens of Barbour, Coffee, Covington, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston Counties. The Southeast Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission was formed to assist communities with a number of services. A number of departments fall under the umbrella of SEARP&DC. These include Community and Economic Development, Head Start, Senior Aides, and Wiregrass Transit.
